Lawn Care
|
Mowing / Lawn Care In order to keep up with the growth of the grass we maintain our properties once a week. The mowing season is normally between April 1st & November 15th but, can be longer depending on the year.
We offer 3 options for our mowing service.
We strive for excellence in all that we do. With properly maintained equipment and mower blades sharpened every other day, when other companies only sharpen them once per week, we provide your lawn with the best cut possible. Which lowers the level of stress on the turf and likelihood of disease. After all turf areas have been mowed, trimmed & sidewalks are edged. There may be grass clippings in mulch beds, on sidewalks, roads, decks, patios, etc. Before we leave any property, all grass clippings that are found in these areas are thoroughly cleaned with blowers to maintain a clean appearance. |

Lawn Fertilization
We offer 5 and 7 application programs. For best results, core aeration is strongly recommended at least once per season, and remember to water.

Core Aeration / Over-seeding / Dethatching
Core aeration consists of removing plugs of soil and thatch out of the lawn. We offer it in the spring and in the fall. An Aeration is one of the best tools one can utilize when trying to obtain a healthy Lawn. Benefits include: Improved drainage and reduces puddle formation, oxygen, water, fertilizer & nutrients can reach the root systems, thatch is broken up, compacted soil surrounding the roots is broken up, allowing new turf to grow, and giving you a fuller looking lawn. This is also a great time to have your lawn over-seeded & fertilized.
Over seeding is done in the fall normally after an aeration. We spread 6 pounds per one thousand square feet of turf, not just a pound or two as we have seen done. This must be done before the ground gets to cold, so timing is crucial. The best time in Central Ohio to do over seeding is between September 1st and October 15th. Dethatching. Is your yard struggling? Is your yard needing more water than normal? Dethatching could be helpful. A thin layer of thatch (under ½ inch) can help protect your lawn from the heat in the summer and foot traffic. A thick layer of thatch on the other hand, creates a barrier between the air, water and fertilizer from getting to the roots effectively. It also can harbor pests and trap roots, which in turn lowers the ability of your lawn to resist drought. When we detach a yard, use a power rake and then bag up the thatch that was pulled up by the power rake. After we dethatch your lawn, we recommend watering it for the next couple weeks. It can also be done in the spring when we get more rain. |
Bed Maintenance / Spring & Fall Color
Bed maintenance is a great service for your home or business beds. You spend a lot on creating a beautiful landscape but, without consistent maintenance it can quickly disappear. Either weekly or bi-weekly we go over your beds and remove the weeds. We can also deadhead plants if you want the cleanest look and curb appeal.
We also offer spring & fall color. Normally done by HOA's & commercial properties but, also is done at some of our clients homes. |

Bush Hogging / Lot Maintenance
Having an overgrown lot can be unsightly and can harbor many different insects (like ticks and aphids), and rodents. There is also the possibility of getting in trouble with the city. When we keep those, lots mowed those things are limited. Or in the case of calls from the city, eliminated. When we maintenance your lot we cut them down 4-8 times per year.
